Dr. Abhijit Ranaware is one of the Pune’s leading Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in the surgical treatment and rehabilitation of injuries to the Shoulder and Knee. Dr. Abhijit Ranaware practices at Noble Hospital and conducts research aimed at innovation and improvement in patient care in the field of Arthroscopy and Sports Surgery.
Dr. Abhijit Ranaware has graduated from B.J.Medical College, Pune and has accomplished his initial orthopedic training in Pune and then in JJ group of Hospitals, Mumbai. While undergoing his post-graduate training, he had an opportunity to work with renowned Surgeons in India at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Cochin which is one of the recognized learning centers by International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopedic Sports Medicine (ISAKOS).
Dr. Abhijit Ranaware's Biography
After his post-graduate studies, he worked as a Junior Consultant at premier hospitals in Pune. Meantime, he also learnt German as a foreign language at Goethe-Institute. He has completed Fellowship at Marien Krankenhaus, Dusseldorf, which is a center for excellence in Shoulder Surgery and Sports Orthopaedics. Furthermore, he was a Fellow at St. Josef Hospital Wuppertal, North Rhein-Westphalia as well. This hospital is very popular to treat complex knee injuries, especially amongst Bundesliga players (German soccer league). During his stay in Germany, Dr. Ranaware has received specialized training in arthroscopic surgery, complex shoulder problems and sports injuries.
He is actively involved in teaching and his basic science and clinical research is focused on joint preservative surgery. He has also publications in international and regional journals to his credit. He provides compassionate care to treat his patients with shoulder and knee problems, helping patients get back to their daily activities and sports. He himself is an avid Triathlete and often enjoys playing football and Cricket.
